Step 1: Residing in our catchment area
Education Queensland’s online tool will assist you to determine your catchment school.
Once you have determined that you reside in the Buranda State School catchment area, please ensure you have proof of residency documents available (i.e. current rates notice or general tenancy agreement plus current utilities bill).
Step 2: Application
Phone the school to register your interest in enrolling your child. After advice from the school that there is a place for your child, an application for student enrolment form (PDF, 466 KB) can be downloaded and forwarded to the school.
Step 3: Important information
Read these important documents to learn more about our school policies and procedures:
Step 4: Enrolment interview

The child’s original birth certificate.
The child’s latest report card if they have attended another school.
Australian citizenship (if applicable).
If the child is born overseas, we will also need to see the child’s current passport, visa documents and, if applicable, confirmation of enrolment from Education Queensland International (see information below for international students).
Please contact our Enrolment officer on (07) 3435 1222 or via email at for further information, to receive an enrolment pack, or to arrange an appointment for an enrolment interview.
