Buranda State School has very active and caring Parents and Citizens Association.
The Buranda P&C meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:15pm at the school.
New members are welcome to attend, and lend a hand for the benefit of the school community.
The P&C Association is a group of members from the school community working together for the benefit of the school. The P&C is a forum where the school community can discuss their values, hopes and ideals for the school.
Specifically, the function of the P&C is:
- To encourage closer cooperation between the parents, other members of the community and the staff and students of the school.
- To provide advice and recommendations to the principal on issues and concerns in respect to the student body and the general operations and management of the school.
- To provide or assist in the provision of financial or other resources or services for the benefit of students of the school.
At Buranda State School the P&C has been involved in fundraising activities to provide for the Environmental Education Program, as well as sport, music and other school activities.
The P&C also operates the uniform shop and the tuckshop.
Uniform Shop Hours:
Wednesday 8.00am - 9.00am
Thursday 2.30pm - 3.30pm
Tuckshop:
Every Friday 1st and 2nd lunch
Orders to be placed through Qkr! and received before 8pm each Wednesday.
