The Buranda P&C meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 6.30 pm at the school.
New members are welcome to attend, and lend a hand for the benefit of the school community.
The P&C Association is a group of members from the school community working together for the benefit of the school. The P&C is a forum where the school community can discuss their values, hopes and ideals for the school.
Specifically, the function of the P&C is:
To encourage closer cooperation between the parents, other members of the community and the staff and students of the school.
To provide advice and recommendations to the Principal on issues and concerns in respect to the student body and the general operations and management of the school.
To provide or assist in the provision of financial or other resources or services for the benefit of students of the school.
At Buranda State School the P&C has been involved in fundraising activities to provide for the environmental education programme, as well as sport, music and other school activities.
The P&C also operates the uniform shop and the tuckshop.
