Enrolment process
Step 1: Residing in our catchment area
Education Queensland’s online tool will assist you to determine your catchment school.
Once you have determined that you reside in the Buranda State School catchment area, please ensure you have proof of residency documents available (i.e. current rates notice or general tenancy agreement plus 2 current utilities bill).
Step 2: Application
Phone the school to register your interest
in enrolling your child. After advice from the school that there is a place for
your child, bring in the required documents and an enrolment form will be given
to you for completion.

Step 4: Enrolment interview
You will be required to attend an enrolment interview with the principal. Our enrolment officer will assist you to make an appointment at a convenient time. Prior to the interview we will need to see the following documents:
- The child’s original birth
certificate.
- The child's report card if they
have attended another school.
- Australian
citizenship (if applicable).
- If
the child is born overseas, we will also need to see the child’s current
passport, visa documents and, if applicable, confirmation of enrolment from
Education Queensland International (see information below for international).
