Enquiries and new enrolments are welcomed at anytime throughout the year at Buranda State School.
As we are an enrolment managed school, our enrolment procedures are governed by our School Enrolment Management Plan (SEMP). A School enrolment management plan is a legal document that ensures students can attend their closest school. It also ensures that the best use can be made of available resources.
We cannot approve enrolments without sighting your child's birth certificate. Where it is not possible to obtain a birth certificate (e.g. for a child born in a country without a birth registration system), a passport or visa document will suffice. We will also accept a passport or visa for international students approved for enrolment by Education Queensland International (EQI).
We are unable to accommodate short term enrolments.
To determine if your child is eligible to enrol in prep, please check Education Queensland's prep ready reckoner.
